Rangers Sign Frolov, 1 year $3 million

The New York Rangers have just signed UFA Alexander Frolov to a 1 year $3 million deal. Frolov is coming off of a down year in 09-10, when he tallied 19 goals and 32 assists for 52 points. In 536 career games, Frolov has scored 168 goals. and 213 assists for 381 points. 

The Rangers, looking to add more offense, scored a total of 222 goals last season, tying their division rivals the New Jersey Devils, and New York Islanders for 19th overall in the NHL for total goals scored.

The Rangers have $1.4 million in cap space left over, and Marc Staal remains unsigned.
